Artist's Profile Luo Hong was born in 1960 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Following high school Luo Hong had the rare opportunity to study painting under one of China’s most renowned artists, Guan Weixing. In 1989 she earned a degree in printmaking from He Nan University. Her prints have won numerous national awards and have been acquired by the National Gallery in Beijing. In 1991 Luo Hong immigrated to the United States and studied painting under several master artists, including David Leffel and Zhang Wen Xing. Her most recent solo exhibition was held at Gallery 59 in New York in June, 2007.
