Artist's Profile Mingshi was born in Nanjing, China. He has studied and taught art in both China and Michigan. He has had many solo and group exhibitions, and has been awarded for his work in both the U.S. and China. Honors, Awards, Scholarships include: 1984 - Jiangsu Figure Painting Exhibition Prize, Nanjing, China; 1989 Graduate Fellowship, Eastern Michigan University; 1990 - 91 Grant, and Graduate Fellowship, The School of Art, the University of Michigan.
